I'm not sure what exactly you mean. IRC, Internet Relay Chat is the protocol used, while mIRC is just a program used to access IRC. :ugeek:

I don't personally think i can help you, i tend to avoid the socket module. :lol:
By scripting what do you mean? I know there is a great tutorial out there(can't find it atm) for writing a bot which comes with the source code. You can obviously customise it to your tasting.

Alternate option, download a prebuilt IRC module which should be quite simple to pick up. And it will come with some really good documentation.

So as i said, i couldn't personally help you. As i know nothing about IRC and my Python skills are limited. So Dink stop treating me like the messihar(Can't spell), you seem to think i'm an almighty god. :P :lol:

Aww thanks! :P But then you must be pretty standard. :P I really am not that good, and i only manage to do anything mildy useful thanks to Google! :D :lol:
