Geography Trainer 1.3.5

The long awaited update to Geography Trainer 1.3 is here. Geography Trainer 1.3.5 has now been released. Please feel free to discuss it in general in this thread. :ugeek:

Changelog for v1.3.5:
- Attempting to open the About window if it is already open no longer causes the program to crash
- Closing the main window while the 'New High Score' window is open no longer causes the program to crash
- High scores table improved. High scores table can now be viewed without having to exit the program
- Equal percentage high scores will now rank the player who answered the most questions higher
- Status bar added
- Users can no longer 'edit' the fields holdings the question, their given response, the result, the number of questions attempted, the number of questions correct or the percentage of questions correct
- About window is no longer resizable.
- About, High scores and New high score windows will all now appear centered over the main window regardless of where the main window is located on screen (previously they appeared in the center of the screen)
- After viewing the High scores or About window, focus will now return to the answer field
- Focus is now set on the New high scores window submit button
- Program installer added
- The category will only now be changed after the current question (from the existing category) is answered
- Miscellaneous improvements/fixes
- The following were changed/amended:
Countries:
* North Korea renamed to Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North)
* South Korea renamed to Republic of Korea (South)
* Burma renamed to Myanmar (Burma)
* Palestine renamed to Palestinian Territories
* East Timor renamed to Timor-Leste (East Timor)
Capitals:
* Capital of Benin, Porto Novo renamed to Porto-Novo
* Capital of Singapore renamed from Singapore City to Singapore
* Capital of Sri Lanka, Sri Jayawardenapura-Kotte renamed to Sri Jayawardenapura Kotte
* Capital of Yemen, Sanaa renamed to Sana'a
* Capital of Trinidad and Tobago, renamed from Port-of-spain to Port of Spain
* Capital of Kiribati renamed from Tarawa to South Tarawa
Categories:
* Andorra, Cyprus Gibraltar and Ireland added to the Europe category

Suggestion for version 1.4 by 'Eat2Live':

I think having a multiple choice would make it eaiser, and you could just guess and have a 25% chance. Not sure that's what you want for educational purposes.

Doesn't multiple choice make it too easy though I would think? It would be possible to have it both ways though where you can choose to either play in Multiple choice answer mode and select one of the answers or in the current gameplay style where you have to know the answer straight off.

Version 1.4 will most likely feature some sort of spelling error recognition for answers and award partial points/half answers probably (as its not fully correct, but on the right track enough to be considered partially correct).

Okay lol, I thought you were saying it was too hard and needed to be easier (with multiple choice) :lol:
